ADVANCES IN TEACHING COMPARATIVE SOCIOLOGY OF NEW EASTERN EUROPE, 11-21 September 2011, Kichkine, Crimea, Ukraine

The lectures and colloquiums of the resource faculty will be aimed at providing theoretical background for sociological analysis of New Eastern Europe’ cultural peculiarities and everyday life. Besides, professors will dwell on the teaching methods of the correspondent issues. There is a set of the master-classes, lectures and colloquiums devoted to a specific teaching methods in application to the teaching sociological agenda within BA Curriculum followed by practical session for practical part. Practical part of the summer session is devoted to group discussions of improvement of concrete participants’ syllabi, teaching materials, experience and research-based teaching methods for advance of teaching Sociology of New Eastern Europe.

The other important activity will be presentation of the elaborated teaching modules of the sourcebook “Sociology of New Eastern Europe” by participants under the guidance of the RT. Special attention will be paid to the pedagogical issues in frames of every teaching module, i.e. tasks for students, collected comparative data, visual and other teaching materials. Following group-discussion will be devoted by all participants and resource faculty on how to optimize teaching process and improve teaching material of the module.
