SPRING SESSION ІІ April 17-21, 2011 Kyiv, Ukraine Sociological Dimensions of New East European societies: from Research to Teaching The Intermediate Spring Session is devoted to important issues of incorporation of the outcomes of project work in teaching support materials that will become a source for research-based teaching of sociology of New Eastern Europe. During the Summer Session participants have got three main tasks for the project year: (1) to improve the first draft of their research papers based on the discussions, suggestions, critique and comments they receive; (2) to make a peer-review of the improvements, and to share the second draft of their paper for further comments and suggestions; (3) to work on the teaching materials for their courses and sourcebook “Sociology of New Eastern Europe”. The intermediate Spring Session is aimed at exchange and critical comments of the participants and resource faculty of the developments on these tasks. By the format the Spring Session will be organized in sections guided by Resource Faculty accordingly to the parts of the sourcebook and working groups of participants. At these sections the key presentations will be done by the section's participants and the core of the sessions is a peer-review and discussion on the implementation to teaching. Besides, the Session's format includes presentations of the resource faculty, followed by discussion of the issue both in content and how to teach it, as well as a master-class on research-based teaching. | ||
